Harri Heliövaara and Henry Patten have won the Adelaide ATP tournament doubles.

Heliövaara and Patten, who were recently chosen as the Finnish athlete of the year, defeated their German opponents in the final match by Kevin Krawietz and By Tim Pütz in two sets by 6–3, 6–2. The match lasted about an hour.

For winning the tournament, Heliövaara and Patten receive a good 31,000 euros in prize money.

The duo, who are tied for third place in the world doubles rankings, have been in solid shape for the past year. The 2025 competition season, which brought the athlete of the year title, got off to an excellent start a year ago precisely in kangaroo country, where Heliövaara celebrated the Australian Open doubles tournament win.

Heliövaara was chosen last year’s best Finnish athlete on Thursday. The tennis player was defeated in a very tight vote by a basketball player Lauri Markkanen and a hockey player Alexander Barkov.
