Harm Edens thinks Today Inside is objectionable TV: ‘Underbelly sewer’

Harm Edens is not a fan of Today Inside, the most popular talk show in the country. “But apparently 1.1 million people in the lower abdominal regions like it,” grumbles the NPO star.

With around a million viewers per evening, it is by far the most watched talk show in the Netherlands: Today Inside. But there are also many people, especially in progressive circles, who find this a reprehensible program. Harm Edens is also not at all impressed by what Wilfred Genee, René van der Gijp and Johan Derksen put up on SBS 6.

Underbelly sewer

Harm recently heard how Bridget Maasland railed against Wilfred on the radio because she thinks VI is such a retarded program. “She tries to say something without saying exactly what she wants to say, but in a way I think it’s brave that she makes an attempt, because every now and then a piece of junk is pushed back and forth at that table at VI. ”

What happens there is really not normal, says Harm in Dit Was De Radio. “That you think: that is not fun for anyone, but apparently 1.1 million people in the lower abdominal regions enjoy looking at a sewer, but sometimes it is just a bit much. It’s not for me either.”

Money machine

It is wrong that Talpa lets all this happen, Harm thinks. “On SBS 6, different rules apply at half past ten, I’ve been told, because that’s the way it is money machine from the transmitter. Then he’s definitely not going to say to Bridget: ‘Maybe you have a point, we’re going to be a little nicer’, so a mission is hopeless. It is a hopeless action.”

Unfortunately, Bridget’s argument was not that strong during her TV confrontation with Wilfred, Harm concludes. “She should have come better prepared.”
