Harm Edens is being severely attacked after his lashing out at RTL 4. According to Albert Verlinde, who is now on the faces of the channel again, the presenter is hypocritical. “Good boy!”
This Was Het Nieuws will be celebrating its thirtieth anniversary in May, which is why its presenter, Harm Edens, is currently giving interviews everywhere. In one of them he lashes out quite hard at RTL 4, where the show was shown for five years. The channel gave the presenter a chance when the program was suddenly canceled by AvroTros.
Albert pissed off
Harm says he doesn’t have such good memories of it. “We switched to RTL and that was not an unqualified success. That was an environment where we did not belong. That smell of the program in front of you is still there and that was quite difficult.”
What a nasty comment, says Albert Verlinde. He agrees RTL Tonight: “Then I think: Harm Edens? One: it’s not that you were at RTL for six months, you were there for five years.”
Fragrance
Albert still has two points. “Yes. Two: the program had stopped at the public broadcaster and the fact that it has been able to continue with the same team all these years is because RTL offered the opportunity to continue the program.”
He continues: “Lastly, I think: the smell of the program? Who has filled their pockets this year as a voice-over for the Hanslers, not exactly a program without a smell?”
Good boy
Well, who was the voice-over of the Monique Hansler soap on SBS 6? “That’s the same Harm Edens! Then I think: well, my friend, good guy, take it easy for a moment,” says Albert.
He concludes: “Just celebrate it and don’t blame the people who made five of those thirty years possible.”
