Mayor Margo Mulder of Bergen op Zoom has closed a house on Kloosterstraat for six months. The house had to close because hashish was being made in the house, the police discovered during an investigation in April. The police also found a large quantity of soft and hard drugs.
Several reports of nuisance had been made from the neighborhood. There was regular odor nuisance, local residents smelled cannabis at the house.
During the police investigation in April, the police came across the supplies of drugs and laughing gas. The hash was produced in the house.
The house will remain closed until October 30. Until then, no one is allowed in the house. The aim is to restore public order and safety to the neighborhood.
