“Happy Midsummer from the Three of Us”

Laura Schneider is pregnant. The former Finnish biathlon star announced this happy news on social media.

“Happy Midsummer from the three of us,” wrote Schneider, who used to compete in biathlon under the surname Toivanen, on Instagram.

“Life may change a little, but we’re looking forward to autumn and to seeing our little boy,” said the ex-winter athlete.

Schneider used to ski alongside biathlon icon Kaisa Mäkäräinen with the Finnish team. In 2018, the 34-year-old took part in the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

After the 2018/19 season, Schneider ended her active career in biathlon. Now the former athlete can look forward to private happiness.

Biathlon legend Røiseland also pregnant

Most recently, record world champion Marte Olsbu Røiseland announced her baby news. “Between one adventure and the other! I can’t wait to meet this rascal in the fall,” the Norwegian wrote on social media a few days ago.

In her long career, Røiseland was able to win a proud 13 gold medals at world championships – biathlon record! In addition, the 32-year-old was at the top of the podium three times at the Olympics. Just a few of the Scandinavian’s many successes.

“I’ve experienced a lot more than I could have dreamed of,” said Røiseland gratefully. Now she is expecting a little boy together with her husband Sverre, who is a coach in the German national team.

With Lisa Vittozzi, Kaisa Mäkäräinen and Johannes Thingnes Bø, numerous biathlon greats spoke up to convey their congratulations.

Both Røiseland and Schneider are expected to keep their fans up to date via social media.
