Happiness in the top game: HSV meets Hertha in the middle of the heart

The capital club experiences a very bitter evening in the duel of the long -term first division clubs. The Hamburgers, on the other hand, present themselves ice cold.
Hamburger SV defended first place in the 2nd Bundesliga. The North German won 3: 2 (1-0) at Hertha BSC in the hit game of the 19th match day and are still in front of 1. FC Köln due to the better goal difference, which also has 34 points on the account. For the still undefeated HSV coach Merlin Polzin, it was the fourth success in the sixth game.
Ex-Herthaner Davie Selke (23rd minute) of all people shot the guests in the lead with his eleventh goal of the season. After a hard clash, the striker had to get out, the Ransford Königsdörffer, which had substituted substitute for him, increased with a remarkable Schlenzer (61.).
But thanks to Michael Cuisance (72nd) and Marten Winkler (80th) Hertha equalized in the meantime. Then Emir Sahiti (84.) still managed the decisive HSV goal-before the largest second division backdrop since 2013: In the sold-out Olympic Stadium, 71,500 spectators saw the traditional duel, including an estimated 20,000 HSV fans.
Before the start, the Hertha fans showed a choreography in memory of their president Kay Bernstein, who died surprisingly a year ago, and the Berlin players also wore special jerseys. After a strong initial phase of the hosts, however, Selke shocked the Hertha.
After the second goal, Florian Niederlechner (64th) missed the connection goal from a short distance, Cuisance did better. Then both teams played for victory.
Overall, the Hertha experienced an unfortunate Saturday evening: in both halves, the capital club started strongly, but was unable to implement the visual superiority into goals. Instead, the HSV met and thus paralyzed the further efforts of the Hertha.
