Hansa Rostock rewarded against Braunschweig

Hansa Rostock has celebrated its first victory under the new coach Patrick Glöckner and has settled into the middle of the table in the 2nd Bundesliga.

Three days after the 1-1 draw against 1. FC Nürnberg, Rostock beat Eintracht Braunschweig 1-0 (0-0) and moved up to ninth place.

In front of 21,221 spectators in the Eintracht Stadium, Svante Ingelsson scored the winning goal for the guests in the 60th minute. Glöckner succeeded Jens Härtel at the beginning of the week.

In a balanced game, the heavily weakened Braunschweig team had more of the game before the break. Lion Lauberbach missed the best chance in the 39th minute. After the change of sides, Hansa became bolder and rewarded himself with the lead after an hour.

After a nice assist from Haris Duljevic, Ingelsson scored to make it 1-0 for the guests. Eintracht then pushed for an equalizer again, but the substitution of striker Anthony Ujah didn’t change anything about the home defeat of the promoted team.
