Second division soccer team Hannover 96 has internally sanctioned striker Lukas Hinterseer (31) for unsportsmanlike conduct.

The Lower Saxony announced this on Monday. “The behavior was certainly a bit over the limit,” said sports director Marcus Mann: “The issue is settled.”

Hanover did not provide any further information on the penalty. Hinterseer fouled fellow player Tim Walbrecht in training last Friday.

Coach Christoph Dabrowski then broke off the unit. Hinterseer apologized to the team.
