Hannover 96: child defends communication with the coach question – goal Bundesliga

“Will not tell the untruth”

Hanover’s majority shareholder Martin Kind has defended the communication when coach Stefan Leitl was signed. “For me it was clear: I confirm it. It was the wrong time, but we are not responsible for it,” said Kind on Thursday evening at an event organized by the “Neue Presse”. “A newspaper in Hanover has played the name Leitl, and I will not tell the truth,” said the 78-year-old. The second division announced on Sunday that Fürth coach Leitl had signed for the new season.

After Kind had confirmed his interest in him a few weeks earlier, the overwhelmed and left alone coach Christoph Dabrowski had to answer questions at a press conference before a game. He later indirectly expressed his displeasure with the club’s treatment of him. “I have a clear idea of communication, that’s all I can say from my perspective. I think everyone can form their own opinion,” said the 43-year-old in a recent Transfermarkt interview.

Kind praised Dabrowski meanwhile: “He has a share in this development that we were able to stay in the league. Nevertheless, we made a different decision. There were reasons for that.” The long-standing 96 boss underlined his ambitions again: “My goal is clearly the 1st Bundesliga. Not in a year, but in two years. If it comes sooner, then I have nothing against it.” So far, the Lower Saxony have already presented four newcomers. The club last played in the German Oberhaus in 2018/19.
