Hangover dumped in wooden box: ‘Dear people, this is not possible, is it?’

A red and white cat was found in a wooden box in the bushes near a meadow in Uden on Saturday. It was a dog that accidentally came across the wooden box while walking.

An employee of a nearby dog and cat shelter took Ed, one of the shelter’s dogs, for a walk on Saturday morning. Less than two hundred yards from the shelter, Ed started sniffing and barking near some bushes.

That led to the discovery of the box. The help of the nearby shelter was enlisted. Once in the shelter, employees opened the box. “Then the mouths fell wide open. This super sweet, red and white hangover came out of the box very shyly,” the shelter reports on social media.

“You shouldn’t think that we wouldn’t have found the male.”

“Dear people, this is not possible, is it? Place a cat in a closed wooden box with a few air holes in it in the undergrowth. We don’t know how long he has been there, but luckily our good guy Ed found him in time. You shouldn’t think that we wouldn’t have found the male.”

The shelter calls on people to report if they have tips about the origin of the animal. The cat is not chipped and had a black flea collar on. He also has a small bite out of his right ear.
