You can best throw food scraps, peeling and faded flowers in the GFT+E bin. One Zoetermeerder has a green click at the door, the other throws it away in the underground container. How handy is it to first collect leftovers and cut waste in a smaller container, and then throw it in the large container? For this, the municipality gives away a free compost bin.

Sometimes you have so much green waste or some leftovers from the meal that it is sometimes easier to throw it in the garbage bin at once. That is a shame, because useful things can be done with that waste.

Even higher?

The municipality has all this collected green compost. With this you not only get nutritious earth, but it also reduces the residualafaval in Zoetermeer. The asphalt processing costs for this are lower, so we ultimately also notice that in our wallet. Because with rising processing costs, there is a good chance that the annual waste tax will increase according to the municipality.

Do me such a cup of coffee

The municipality now has a promotion where you get a free compost bin. Put it on your counter and slide very conveniently into your vegetable or fruit waste. Then you tie everything in the click, on your own compost heap in the garden or in the underground container.

On Thursday, May 15, a promotion team will hand out free compost bowls between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. during the Streekmarkt in the Dorpsstraat. Are you unable to come by this day? You can also pick up your free compost bin at the customer service of the Self -Tepot depot at Argonstraat 25. The promotion runs until 18 May and while supplies last.
