Handball player Jeffrey Boomhouwer has played his last international match

After 101 international matches, Jeffrey Boomhouwer from Aalsmeer puts an end to his international career. Last night he played his last game in the Orange shirt at the World Cup.

Against Serbia, they lost 32-30 and Boomhouwer managed to score once. “I lived my dream for twelve years. I am extremely proud and grateful to those who have helped me in any way during my career. I will continue to have a warm heart for this sport. This group is not ready yet. Keep an eye on them,” says Boomhouwer.

Back at Aalsmeer

In 2009 Boomhouwer played his first international match. The now 34-year-old handball player played twelve years in Germany, but returned to Aalsmeer this summer. In addition to Boomhouwer, Jasper Adams and Iso Sluijters also stop at the Orange.
