13:42

While the SG has presented itself strongly in the home arena and cleared some heavyweights out of the way, there have recently been two defeats abroad against Lemgo (21:27) and the Rhein Neckar-Löwen (27:28). To make matters worse, playmaker Jim Gottfridsson is out with a torn muscle in his calf. From now on, Mads Mensah Larsen and Lasse Møller should set the pace in attack, but this has yet to be established.

13:31

After the 19:21 bankruptcy at MT Melsungen last Sunday, Wetzlar wants to continue working on their own offensive game. “We had the chance to take something countable with us and we were all very annoyed. After a defeat you always work harder and we want to put that on record,” said HSG head coach Ben Matschke, who is prepared for a hot dance against the guests from the far north.

13:23

The Flensburgers certainly imagined the start of the season differently. Having already lost five points, Maik Machulla’s team has lost touch with the top of the table and is only seventh. Wetzlar also came out of the summer break quite weakly, but has now recovered and at least fought back to twelfth position.
