Handball: Foxes Berlin miss the group win

Handball Bundesliga team Füchse Berlin has suffered its second defeat in the European League and missed out on winning the group.

On the last day of the group stage, the foxes lost to table leader Wisla Plock from Poland by a narrow margin of 29:30 (15:16) and, with 16 points, are second in group A and advance to the round of 16.

Meanwhile, SC Magdeburg remained undefeated in Group C in their tenth game. The Bundesliga leader, who was already the group winner, defeated the Croatian representative Nexe Nasice 28:24 (11:11). Only on the third day did Magdeburg miss a win at BM Logrono La Rioja (29:29).

Cup winner TBV Lemgo Lippe, who also qualified early for the round of 16, ended Group B in fourth place after beating GOG Dudme from Denmark 39:35 (19:17). The round of 16 will be played on March 29th and April 5th.
