Tight lead at the break

The Danes kept finding gaps in the Berlin backcourt. Paul Drux was finally able to use his physical superiority against the line runner and provided a two-goal lead for the first time at 10:8. Up and down in the second half

In the dressing room, coach Jaron Siewert seemed to have addressed the foxes’ weaknesses – because they were much better in the second half. The Berliners were now much more compact in the cover. Hans Lindberg made it 19:15 with a converted penalty. But because the hosts lost their concentration immediately afterwards and the Danes took their chance, the lead was quickly gone again. Future Füchse player Hakun West av Teigum scored to equalize at 19:19.

But the Berliners stabilized again and again played a four-goal lead. And this time the guests couldn’t come close and with 30:24 the victory was even clear in the end. The second leg will take place in Denmark next Tuesday.
