Handball EM: Corona outbreak among DHB opponents Poland

As is currently the case with every major tournament, the European Handball Championship is overshadowed by corona worries. The last DHB opponent now also finds out. The Polish national team will have to do without five players for the time being.

The German preliminary round opponent Poland has to complain about five corona cases shortly after arriving at the European Handball Championship in Slovakia. As the association announced, Adam Morawski, Piotr Chrapkowski, Jan Czuwara, Kacper Adamski and Damian Przytula tested positive for the virus. The quintet feels good, is asymptomatic and is in isolation.

The Poles meet at the end of the preliminary round on Tuesday (6 p.m. in the live ticker on t-online) on the selection of the German Handball Federation (DHB). According to the hygiene concept of the European Handball Federation (EHF), the mandatory quarantine of players who tested positive during the European Championship can be shortened from 14 to five days if two negative PCR tests are taken.
