Handball derby between VZV and SEW canceled due to corona outbreak

The North Holland handball derby between VZV and SEW that was scheduled for tomorrow evening has been cancelled. The reason for this is a corona outbreak at the team from Nibbixwoud.

The game between the two teams was scheduled for Saturday-evening at 7 PM in ‘t Veld. Due to several positive tests in SEW’s camp, it has been decided that the duel cannot take place. A new date for the match is still being sought.

In the Eredivisie, VZV currently takes third place in the ranking with 21 points from fourteen games. SEW is in place and has fifteen points from thirteen games.

Competitions are also canceled in other sports in North Holland because of corona. For example, it was announced earlier today that the korfball match between Koog Zaandijk and Blauw-Wit from Amsterdam has been cancelled.
