Two Danes have to navigate the foxes Berlin from the sporty chaos

Two weeks ago, the Füchse Berlin ensured a handball quake with that of Stefan Kretzschmar and Jaron Siewert. Since then it has not been going well with the Berliners. Their Danish duo now wants to initiate the turn. By Jakob Lobachmore

Intensive duels with Aalborg’s defensive players

In the Bundesliga, Nicolej Krickau’s team had to cope with a low -shape. Two defeats against Magdeburg (32:39) and Gummersbach (29:34) had further tightened the already tense situation in the foxes. In the club it is bubbling, the beginning of September there was a Find out of master coach Jaron Siewert, also from sports director Stefan Kretzschmar the club separated.

In the Champions League duel with the eight-time Danish champion, however, the foxes showed up in a strong constitution from the start, even without the injured trio Nils Lichtlein, Leo Prantner and Lukas Herburger. World handball players Mathias Gidsel shaped the initial phase with three goals in the first ten minutes and intensive body duels with Aalborg’s defensive specialists.

Berlin is setting up for the first time

With a successful influence from Hakun West Av Detigum from right outside and a safe seven meter from Tim Freihöfer, the foxes expanded their lead to three goals for the first time (10: 7).

Aggressive defense and a strong backing in the goal – Dejan Milosavljev shone with six parades in the first half – the Berliners kept the game control. Aalborg’s playmaker-backup Juri Knorr (formerly Rhein-Neckar Löwen) also found no means against the determined defense work of the hosts.

For their part, the Berliners missed it to break down decisively, remained temporarily six minutes without scoring. With 17:13 we went into the break.

More time penalties for the Danes

After the break, the foxes continued to pressure and dragged away to seven goals in the 38th minute. The Aalborgs struggled to find an answer – especially since they always got outnumbered (six time penalties), while the Berliners were only decimated twice.

But more and more lack of concentration crept in in the foxes defense, the capital club only led four goals four minutes before the end (29:26). The seven-field player tactics of the Danes with an empty goal seemed to work. However, the foxes could no longer get the opponent closer, in the 59th minute AV Teigum made the final decision with his goal for 31:27. It was created 31:28.
