SC Magdeburg has fought a draw against the Hungarian star ensemble KC Veszprem in the quarter-final atmosphere in front of the home-safe backdrop, but the game was overshadowed by an apparently serious injury to Matthias Musche.
SC Magdeburg separated in the Champions League in the first leg of the quarter-finals against the top favorite KC Veszprem from Hungary with 26:26 (11:14). The team of coach Bennet Wiegert has to worry about moving into the final Four in Cologne and is under pressure in the second leg on May 1st.
Shock for Magdeburg: Musche has to be injured
The hosts did not start a good start and gave several litters. Then the shock in the 4th minute: Magdeburg’s left wing Matthias Musche suffered a serious foot injury without an opposing influence.
