TBV pulls away shortly before the break

Shortly before kick-off, Samuel Zehnder announced his contract extension with TBV until 2029, much to the delight of the fans in attendance. The TBV was slow to get into the game. Only one goal was scored in the first seven minutes (1:2). But because Eisenach wasn’t particularly accurate either, it was an even game in the first quarter of an hour, which was determined by goalkeeper saves. Both Constantin Möstl (TBV) and Matija Spikic (ThSV) were able to excel again and again.

Only after 25 minutes did the home team take the lead by two for the first time (10:8) thanks to a goal from Jan Mudrow, which led to an immediate timeout for the guests. However, the short break and announcement from coach Sebastian Hinze did not help Eisenach. Instead, Lemgo took advantage of a long goalless phase for ThSV to extend their lead. In the final phase of the first half, a 5:1 run made it 13:9 at halftime.

7:1 run at the start of the second half

The home team continued this dominance at the start of the second half. After a 7:1 run from Lemgo, the TBV was already leading 20:10 (41st) and thus secured the preliminary decision in this game. The Lipperlander’s lead remained constant until the end, and in the end there was a clear 28:19 home win.

The best goalscorer of the game was Lemgo’s Niels Versteijnen with six goals. Möstl ended up making nine saves for the keepers.

Away in Berlin

The TBV continues with an away game at Füchse Berlin in nine days. Kick-off in the capital is on Sunday (November 30th) at 4:30 p.m.
