Duvnjak and Wolff are extremely strong for Kiel

The two veterans in the Kiel jersey earned top marks: Domagoj Duvnjak scored seven goals, Andreas Wolff made 14 saves in goal (38 percent catch rate). Winger Marius Steinhauser scored eight times for Hannover-Burgdorf, while national player Renars Uscins was pretty unlucky this time with three goals in nine attempts.

Magdeburg Offensive fireworks against Gummersbach

A little earlier in the evening, SC Magdeburg prevailed in the pursuit duel against VfL Gummersbach and set off offensive fireworks in the process.

The Magdeburgers won 37:28 (21:15) and are now in sixth place in the table, three points ahead of VfL, who made too many mistakes and a defense that was too holey to really put the fast hosts in danger.

Zehnder outstanding – Bergendahl injured

The outstanding goalscorer was Manuel Zehnder, who scored twelve goals from 15 attempts. The eleven goals from Gummersbach’s seven-meter shooter Milos Vujovic didn’t help either. It was only in the middle of the second half that the Gummersbachers were close, when they turned a 16:24 into a 22:26 – but then Bennet Wiegert’s team tightened the reins again and pulled away again. Bitter for the SCM: Circular Oscar Bergendahl apparently seriously injured his foot after just 90 seconds and is likely to be out for a long time.

Melsungen remains league leader

MT Melsungen remains at the top of the table and didn’t have much trouble in the 35:28 (17:12) win against HSV Hamburg. Four Melsung players scored five goals. With 24:4 points, coach Roberto Garcia Parrondo’s team remains at the top.
