HandbaL Venlo to final for national title | 1Limburg

The women of Cabooter HandbaL Venlo have secured a place in the final for the national championship.

In it, the North Limburg handball players have to compete against VOC Amsterdam.

Size too big
HandbaL Venlo, the leader in champion group B of the Eredivisie, had to compete against Volendam in Venlo. The team of coach Robin Gielen was a size too big for the women from North Holland. The Venlo women already led 20-7 halfway through the game and ran even further after the break.

Unreachable
The handball players in Venlo won 42-22 and due to this victory with one match to play, they became unreachable for Quintus, who did not get further than a 26-26 draw against SEW in Kwintsheul.

Loss for V&L
In champion group A, Geonius/V&L from Geleen had to compete against leader VOC Amsterdam in the capital. V&L started the game well and took the lead for a short time. The Amsterdam handball players turned the backlog and then gave the Geleen women the check. At halftime, V&L was already behind 25-12. In the second half the deficit grew and eventually a 49-20 loss was on the scoreboard.
