“Israel is a country that has no place on our soil. We must remove that country because it is causing a military, political and security catastrophe for the Arab and Muslim nation – which must be stopped. We are not ashamed to say that. We say that with full conviction,” the Hamas spokesman said in the interview dating from October 24.
According to Hamad, Israel needs to be taught a lesson, but it doesn’t stop there. Israel must be destroyed.

“The Al-Aqsa flood (October 7, ed.) was just the first time. There will be a second, a third, a fourth time,” Hamad insists. “Will we pay a price for that? Yes, and we are ready to pay for it,” he said. “We are called a nation of martyrs and we are proud to sacrifice martyrs.”
The Hamas leader says the “occupation of the Palestinian territories” must end. Does that mean the destruction of Israel? “Yes of course.”
“Israel’s existence does not make sense. Israel’s existence causes pain, blood and tears. It’s Israel, not us. We are the victims of the occupation. Point. So no one should blame us for what we do,” is Hamad’s argument.
