GAZA/TEL AVIV (dpa-AFX) – The Islamist terrorist organization Hamas has once again handed over remains to employees of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). The Israeli army said that, according to the ICRC, three coffins had been handed over in the Gaza Strip. These are now on their way to be handed over to Israeli troops. According to the Hamas military wing, these are said to be the bodies of three hostages.

However, the terrorist organization had sent remains several times that were ultimately not hostages. The remains will be identified at a forensic institute.

Before the handover, the remains of eleven hostages were still in the Gaza Strip. The Islamist organization had already released all remaining hostages on October 13 in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners./le/DP/he
