Sale from January 1, 2022 “beautiful” license plates on the website of the State Service has not yet begun. When the previously announced service will appear, it is not clear. Officials planned that in order to participate in the auction, the driver would only have to press the “select number” button and pay an increased fee.
The Ministry of Economic Development has developed 13 tariffs for different types of “beautiful” rooms. Among them are basic options with price tags for license plates of 200 and 400 thousand rubles. The price tag for the most popular numbers with the same letters and numbers started from 600 thousand rubles and ended with 6 million… This is below the shadow market, where prices for license plates for cars reached 10 million rubles.
Who most often applies for “beautiful” numbers? Usually these are owners of expensive cars. They think that the usual number for their multimillion-dollar four-wheeled horse looks pale. They are ready to shell out millions for a number with two and three “sevens” and the same number or letter combinations. The owners of the Mercedes Gelaendwagen have smaller requests. The numbers 063 or 065 are popular with them. The reason is simple – AMG models are designated G63 or S63 / 65. How, with such a small nameplate in the stream, can you not also stand out with a license plate?
Number combinations 200 are popular among owners of Toyota Land Cruiser, and numbers 570 are popular among owners of Lexus LX 570. There are also lovers of swear words or words with a negative meaning, for example, the numbers “thief”, “reptile”, “vad” or “boor” . Here the reference to the film classic – the film “Magicians” is quite suitable. Remember, in it there were cars with the numbers “pnu”, “mnu”, “gnu” and the like.
Most often, drivers of beautiful numbers just want to show their high social status. The myth is still alive that by buying numbers of the series “ekh” (“food as you like”) and “amr”, they receive a guarantee that they will not be stopped. Experts assure that it is impossible to buy service special series of numbers. Registration numbers 001-999 of the “ekkh” series belong to the Federal Security Service (FSO), and the FSO and partially other services and departments own numbers from 001 to 499 of the “amr” series. Numbers from 500 to 999 of this series are assigned to the Federal Security Service. The number of type “vvv” 799 in the traffic police was issued for the National Guard.
If you can’t buy such numbers, then other “pretty things” are bought. Usually the buying process goes like this: numbers are sold from a donor car owned by a private person. An old car of no value, the buyer, together with a “beautiful” number, draws up for himself, and then reserves the license plate, which he outweighs on his own status car. At the same time, firms and individuals selling such cars with “beautiful” numbers receive additional profit for mediation. Whether it is worth getting involved in additional expenses because of beautiful numbers, everyone decides for himself.
