Hallescher FC increases lead on relegation places

Third division soccer team Hallescher FC has taken a big step towards staying up in the league.

With the 4:1 (2:1) success in the catch-up game against the newcomer Viktoria Berlin, who has been without a win since the turn of the year, the Saalestadt team increased their lead over the relegation places to ten points.

Berlin, on the other hand, has only a cushion of two points on the danger zone after the fourth defeat in a row and only one point from the past seven matches.

After Berlin’s lead by Shinji Yamada (32′), the hosts turned the game around before the break with a brace from Elias Huth (35′ and 40′).

Philipp Zulechner (90′ + 2) and Michael Eberwein (90′ + 4) only eliminated the last doubts about HFC’s fourth win in the last five games in injury time.
