“You’re getting on my nerves”
Professional footballer barks at TV reporter

There are always strange interview situations after football games. After the end of a fourth division game, a spectacular exchange of blows once again developed.
Jan Löhmannsröben and Hallesche FC lost 2:4 at home against Lok Leipzig on Friday evening. The third winless game in a row – and the fall to fifth place in the table. Not enough for Halle, which actually wants to play for promotion to league three. And Löhmannsröben? The defender was really pissed off in an interview with MDR after the game.
After the reporter’s first question about how frustrated he was after the bankruptcy, Löhmannsröben had to take a deep breath before he could answer. “I think we’ve beaten ourselves again. We’re making fun of ourselves about missing a few percent and leaving our hearts on the pitch,” said the 34-year-old. “I think if we look at the four goals we conceded, they’re all mistakes on our part. We’re shitting ourselves.”
Visibly annoyed by the defeat, Jan Löhmannsröben can no longer hold back after the next question. A dialogue developed that was funny for the viewer, but probably not for the questioning reporter.
“Was that it with the championship? Now eleven points behind,” the reporter wanted to know. Answer from the annoyed Löhmannsröben: “Great question, next question.” The reporter tried again: “An assessment of the table situation?” Not with the defense attorney: “I won’t answer that.”
After three questions, which Löhmannsröben answered almost normally, he blurted out again.
Question about the season’s goals: “Do you at least still believe that you can still do something?” Not with the Halle player: “You’re getting on my nerves with questions like that. Honestly, dude, it’s the twelfth matchday, what do you want from me?” Reporter reaction: “But eleven points are eleven points.” With that he couldn’t lure Löhmannsröben out, who simply replied: “Yes, that’s eleven points. Nice.” That was all said and done, the interview was over.
Incidentally, Löhmannsröben made a mistake in the twelve games; it was already the thirteenth game of the season. And eleven points meant the gap to league leaders Lok Leipzig.
