Anyone who changes energy supplier usually does so to save money. However, new figures from the Commission for the Regulation of Electricity and Gas (CREG) show that many consumers end up paying more after switching. Minister of Consumer Protection Rob Beenders (Vooruit) therefore wants stricter rules for price comparison sites and energy suppliers to prevent misleading discounts.
