Before the Champions League match, the PSG defender denies any abuse and speaks of an extortion attempt: “The truth will come out at the trial”
The news arrived just a few hours before the return of the Champions League playoffs, tonight at the Parc des Princes, between PSG and Monaco. Achraf Hakimi will also be on the pitch but he will soon have to answer in court for the accusation of rape by a woman, after a meeting in February 2023. The Parisian full-back anticipated everything via social media, contesting every accusation.

It all dates back to three years ago, when Hakimi invited a girl with whom he had come into contact via social media to his home, taking advantage of the absence of his ex-wife. According to the then 24-year-old’s reconstruction, Hakimi would have forced her to kiss him on the mouth and then would have put his hands on her, including her private parts. Hakimi denies any abuse and evokes a racketeering attempt. “Today – writes the Parisian on social media – an accusation of rape is enough to justify a trial even if I contest it and everything shows that it is false. It is unfair both for the innocent and for the sincere victims. But I calmly await the trial that will allow the truth to emerge publicly.”

For Fanny Colin, the player’s lawyer, “the trial relies solely on the version of a woman who hindered the investigations, refusing medical tests and DNA research, refusing to provide the name of a key witness, opposing the cell phone analysis and trying to conceal from the authorities messages where she and a friend planned to fleece Hakimi”.
