Frans Bauer has undergone several hair transplants, but it is still not much that is growing on his head. How is this possible? Does he let it sit or will he continue?
There are an incredible number of male Dutch celebrities who undergo a hair transplant, because baldness generally does not really work well on television. Tim de Wit, the new late evening star of NPO 1, is an exception to that, but he is a white man and, according to his colleagues at BNNVARA, therefore not diverse enough.
Three transplants
Anyway: on to Frans Bauer. He too has undergone several hair transplants, but looks like he has never stepped in at such a clinic. How is that possible?
French confirms in the Story That he has already undergone three hair transplants. “I am a rather vain man by nature and just like everyone else I want to grow old with a full hair. It seems wonderful to be eighty with a hairstyle like Richard Gere,” he says. “That’s why I have undergone several hair transplants.”
‘It’s what it is’
Unfortunately it was not all what Frans had hoped for. “In the end it is what it is: I just have very thin hair, and sun transplantation is not the egg of Columbus. So I just accepted it.”
“I recently looked in the mirror again and I thought: okay, I might not be mother’s most beautiful, but I do have the nicest face in the Netherlands.”
