Seven minors from Tilburg were arrested on Friday after a boy was attacked in a parking garage earlier this week. The assault took place at Pieter Vreedeplein.
According to the police, a ‘vulnerable’ boy was attacked by several young people on Wednesday. His hair was also allegedly cut off.
Four girls and three boys were arrested on Friday during the investigation into the incident. They have been taken to the police station and are in custody. The mayor has said that the suspects will be given an area ban.
Five of the seven suspects also receive a behavioral instruction from the public prosecutor. This is an official warning that young people must adhere to certain rules after release. If they violate this, they can be arrested again.
The police are still investigating whether the arrested young people are also involved in other assaults in Tilburg. There are signals of several incidents of violence among young people in the city. The police ask that images not be shared.
