A cyber attack on an external service provider of check-in and boarding systems has completely disrupted air traffic at Brussels Airport on Saturday morning. Because everything has to be done with pen and paper, there are long queues with nervous travelers in the departure hall and there is a lot of police and security present. For the time being 17 flights have been canceled, four flights have been diverted and just about all flights have a delay, an average of an hour. It is also expected that half of the flights on Sunday will be canceled.
