The SpVgg Unterhaching draws consequences from the incessant descent and separates from coach Heiko Herrlich, who had only taken over the position in January. Since then, the former Regensburg coach of nine games has only won one in the 3rd division. Haching’s situation in the table cellar could not improve wonderfully. The team is 16 points behind the saving bank in the last place in the table.
“We are very grateful for Heiko that he took over responsibility as head coach in a very difficult situation for the club and faced this great challenge,” said Haching President Manfred Schwabl. “For the common goal of relegation, he was fully committed to professionalism and high commitment. But recently the differences in the perception of the sporting orientation were unmistakable. That is why we have now made this decision so much, even in the awareness that the time could be better. But sometimes you can’t choose that.”
