Haas relies on Pietro Fittipaldi

The American Formula 1 racing team Haas, where regular driver Mick Schumacher is still fighting for a new contract, is giving Pietro Fittipaldi training time on two upcoming Grand Prix weekends this year.

The 26-year-old American-Brazilian racing driver will drive one of the US team’s two cars during the first free practice sessions in Mexico City and Abu Dhabi. Haas announced this.

Pietro Fittipaldi, grandson of two-time world champion Emerson Fittipaldi, contested his only two Formula 1 races so far in 2020. After the serious fire accident of Frenchman Romain Grosjean, he drove the last two races of the season for Haas.
