PSV has extended Guus Til’s contract to mid -2028. That actually ran until next summer, but two seasons have now been added. “An important battle,” says football affairs director Earnest Stewart.
Til has been playing in the red-white since 2022. Since then he has won two national titles, a KNVB cup and twice the Johan Cruijff scale with his teammates. “Guus is a player who, with his qualities, fits very well with the playing method of trainer Peter Bosz,” says Stewart.
They find him a ‘very pleasant, combative and experienced personality’. Outside the field, too, he is important for the club, because of what he radiates. “Once you have a player like Guus in your selection, you would prefer not to let him go anymore.”
So they are still very happy with each other. “I think PSV is a very nice club and a lot of praise speaks from this extension,” says Til. “My goals are clear: I hope that I can surpass myself every year, want to become champions every season and also would like to continue in the Champions League.”
