National player Christian Günter will remain captain of Bundesliga club SC Freiburg in the coming season. As the Breisgauer announced, the 29-year-old was re-elected as part of the training camp in Schruns.
The team appointed goalkeeper Mark Flekken and winger Jonathan Schmid as deputies. Vincenzo Grifo and Nils Petersen complete the team council.
Freiburg starts the Bundesliga season at FC Augsburg on August 6th, six days before that they face 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the DFB Cup.
