Guns N’ Roses dug surprisingly deep into their discography at Saturday night’s concert in São Paulo, Brazil and “Bad Apples“ played live for the first time since 1991.

Axl Rose and his colleagues had only performed the “Use Your Illusion I” track twice before – including the song’s live debut at Brazil’s Rock in Rio Festival in 1991. (Slash has also performed the song live with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators.)

At the Monsters of Rock Brazil Festival on Saturday, Guns N’ Roses stunned their fans when they brought “Bad Apples” back from the archive after more than 35 years:

Rare songs return

“Bad Apples” wasn’t the only change to GNR’s setlist since the band kicked off their 2026 world tour last weekend: the rarely played “Dead Horse” also made a return, and “Rocket Queen” also returned to the setlist at the São Paulo gig. “Atlas” and “Nothin’” also celebrated their live premieres at the tour opener in Mexico – both songs have remained in the program ever since.

The band may have more surprises in store for the tour: GNR reportedly rehearsed “Right Next Door to Hell” – another “Use Your Illusion I” song that hasn’t been played live since 1991 – at the sound check before the April 1 concert.

In May, Guns N’ Roses return to the USA: to Florida, to Hollywood’s Hard Rock Festival and to the Welcome to Rockville in Daytona Beach. Following a European leg, GNR’s North American dates begin July 23 in Raleigh, North Carolina, and run through September 9, when the tour ends in Atlanta.
