Maybe that’s why the Guns N’ Roses concert isn’t sold out! On June 25, 2026, Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan and band will perform in Berlin’s Uber Arena – and there are still tickets available. Because the band has too many fans who prefer to watch the World Cup?
There could be a real conflict of interest that Thursday. The – possibly all-important – third and final preliminary round game between Nagelsmann’s team against the South Americans will kick off at 10 p.m. in the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Not a good time for concert goers. The Guns N’ Roses concert, which probably lasted more than two hours, was probably only half over. If it’s a question of being kicked out or advancing for the football team, many GN’R fans in the audience will probably be busy constantly looking at their cell phones to check the scores.
So when unexpected cheers ring out in the hall during sleep ballads like “Patience,” it may be more because Musiala scored the life-saving goal. Axl Rose won’t notice the difference, he’s a real couldn’t-care-less musician.
Maximum conflict: football or music?
But Guns N’ Roses isn’t the only place where conflicts of interest arise when it comes to the question: foot or music? June 25th offers the absolute maximum conflict, at least in the group phase. Pulp will also be performing in Berlin, at the Tempodrom. Jarvis Cocker and Co. are in Germany for the first time in more than ten years with their “More” tour. Like Guns N’ Roses, fans at least have the choice to choose a different concert than the one that falls on the Germany-Ecuador group game. GN’ R will also perform in Berlin on June 23rd, Pulp on June 27th.
But it’s not just Berlin that is facing a problem. Cologne too. Nina Chuba is performing at Fühlinger See, i.e. open air. This MAY mean that her performance, which is scheduled for 7 p.m., is already over at kick-off time. But: You just have to get home quickly or at least find the nearest screen that is broadcasting the game. That’s real crap, there’s no other way to put it.
Zurich is also affected: more concerts collide with the World Cup game
Then there is Foreigner in Zurich, the band plays in the Hallenstadion. Swiss fans of the German team then look into the tube, or unfortunately not here.
