Guns N’ Roses and Dave Grohl Perform “Paradise City” Live Together (Video)

Axl Rose said: “You can never have enough guitarists. Shit, there’s just no such thing.”

Saturday night, June 24th, at the Glastonbury Festival was all about rock ‘n’ roll. The American hard rock band Guns N’ Roses ended the second day of the music event and brought a special guest onto the stage for the finale: Foo Fighters singer and ex-Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl performed with Axl Rose and Co . on. Together they performed the GNR classic “Paradise City”.

Before the band struck up the rock hit, Rose addressed the crowd, saying, “We’d like to invite Dave Grohl onto the stage. Because you can never have enough guitarists. Shit, there’s just no such thing!”

Of course, Dave Grohl didn’t let the invitation slip. It’s the second time Grohl and Guns N’ Roses have played Paradise City together. They first performed the song in September 2022 at a performance by the Californians in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Just one day before the joint Glastonbury performance, Grohl and his band played a surprise gig at the same festival – albeit under the name The Churn Ups. In addition, Dave Grohl was the guest drummer at the gig of the British-American rock band The Pretenders on Saturday evening as part of the Open Air.

Guns N’ Roses are no less busy than Grohl this summer. GNR are currently completing their big world tour, which started in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.

The finale of the Glastonbury Festival 2023 was given by Elton John on Sunday evening, who, among other things, brought The Killers singer Brandon Flowers on stage for a song.
