Gullo, former Cervia, insulted on social media for his physique: accusations of bullying

Reading the name will take you back twenty years. At the time of “Campioni – il Sogno”, a reality television broadcast on Italia 1 from 2004 to 2006. The team in question was Cervia who, from the Eccellenza stage, won the Serie D live. The Milano Marittima stadium hosted the first football reality show in history. The protagonists were the footballers, who Ciccio Graziani (“I’m so far ahead that if I look back I see the future”) tried to send onto the field, between one televote and another. Among the protagonists, in addition to Graziani and Gialappa’s commentators, there was also Francesco Gullo, central defender of that Cervia team. He became famous in an instant: it was enough for him to invent that he had marked Del Piero in a Juventus-Basel Champions League match. Event never happened.

Today twenty years have passed. Francesco Gullo is a television director. He published a post celebrating the program, sparking irony from users. There are those who offend him for his physical appearance, those who ironically recall the mistakes and lies told during the reality show. Seeing the many negative comments, Gullo then vented, again on social media. “Shame on you… we are truly a nation of imbeciles. In the post I made remembering Campioni… in a few hours over 200,000 views and hundreds of comments… and almost all of them offending my physical appearance… you are human shit… but not because you offend me… but because if in my place there was a weak girl she could probably commit suicide… and this is called bullying. More than 20 years have passed… my body has changed… And I don’t mind it I don’t give a fuck… but today I’m ashamed of being Italian… you disgust me. I have so much internal strength to put up with your disgust that you couldn’t stand in front of me even for a second… I’m a man… with balls… you’re just rubbish”, reads the post.
