The transfer rumors surrounding Borussia Dortmund’s top scorer Serhou Guirassy are gaining momentum. A hot lead in the highly exciting BVB personnel supposedly leads to Türkiye.
According to journalist Yagız Sabuncuoglu, Fenerbahce presidential candidate Aziz Yildirim has reached an oral agreement with both Guirassy himself and BVB.
If Yildirim is elected club boss, the signing of the 30-year-old Guinea national player will be perfected and officially announced soon. Guirassy has already started to find out more about his possible new adopted home of Istanbul, it is said.
Sabuncuoglu does not provide details such as the financial framework of the transfer.
The portal “fussballdaten.de” had previously reported, citing well-informed sources, that Yildirim was planning a transfer coup in the event of his election victory, which involved the signing of Guirassy.
A transfer fee of 40 million euros is therefore in the room. But Yildirim hopes to be able to press this if the worst comes to the worst.
Guirassy is considered a possible sales candidate at BVB, especially since the professional himself can apparently well imagine a move this summer.
Guirassy departure? BVB would “think about it”
Officially, BVB sports director Ole Book recently emphasized in a media round that Borussia must “act economically responsibly” and always expect that offers for its own players will come in.
When asked specifically about Guirassy, Book explained: “With his goals, he is very, very important. So it is not our plan or our premise to say that we want to give him away. However, the same applies here: If exceptional offers come in, people will think about it.”
Guirassy moved from VfB Stuttgart to BVB in 2024 for 18 million euros. Since then, he has made 96 competitive appearances in black and yellow, with 60 goals and 15 assists.
