The outdoor outfitter Salomon has a new boss. Since January 1st, Guillaume Meyzenq has been CEO and President of the brand. The parent company Amer Sports Inc. had already announced the appointment in mid-November, and Salomon confirmed the change in management on Thursday.
Meyzenq has been working at Salomon for more than 28 years. During this time he held various management positions. Just last year, he was appointed Global Chief Product Officer – Softgoods as part of the company’s development strategy.
James Zheng, CEO of Amer Sports, explained the personnel decision. “With his track record in international trade in winter sports goods and outdoor footwear, Guillaume will now play a greater role in realizing the company’s potential,” Zheng said in a statement. “He is an inspiring leader and perfectly combines Salomon’s fundamental values with a unique leadership style characterized by consistent commitment.”
