Max Kruse is back, but a deserved professional and long-time regular player is leaving: As VfL Wolfsburg announced on Sunday evening, Josuha Guilavogui is leaving the club for Girondins Bordeaux. The 31-year-old midfielder gets his change request fulfilled, in France he receives a loan contract until the end of the season with the possibility of a permanent transfer.

“The decision was very difficult for me because my family and I felt at home in Wolfsburg. We have made many friends here and will always look back fondly on our time at VfL and will definitely return for a visit or two. Seven and a half years is a very long time for a professional. Therefore, VfL will always have a special place in my heart. We have experienced a lot together, celebrated successes, successfully fought the relegation battle and qualified for international competitions. The farewell is therefore emotional! I would like to thank all VfL employees, the sporting leadership, the staff and the fans for an incomparably beautiful and unique time,” said Guilavogui.
