GTST celebrity Cheyenne Löhnen is completely pissed off about the criticism she receives after her interview with RTL Boulevard. She goes wild on Instagram: “It’s gossip and untruths!”
According to critics, she comes across as a nasty, spoiled girl: Cheyenne Löhnen (28), known from Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden. She is currently in a relationship with Ingmar van den Broek (22), who also starred in that series. The two wanted to build a life in Mexico, but at the first hint of headwind they took the airport back.
Hysterical girl
There has been some unrest in Mexico due to the death of a drug boss, but everything is fine in the capital business as usual. However, that Cheyenne imagined it main character in her own Mexican telenovela, because she feared that the drug cartels were targeting her because she looked American and immediately booked a flight back.
And upon arrival in the Netherlands, that girl started to say in De Telegraaf that it was impossible to build a life with her boyfriend this way. “Staying in the Netherlands is not an option for me. I don’t know what Ingmar is going to do. Since we returned to the Netherlands, we no longer live together. Because I just want to think about everything.”

It all sounds quite toxic, but in RTL Boulevard the Cheyenne slowed down a bit last week. In it, she and her boyfriend claimed all that peace and quiet is. Presenter Luuk Ikink thought it was a strange interview: “You can tell from everything in this conversation that things are not going well, but that they are still trying.”
And now? Now Cheyenne is angry. “I’m back with your daily dose of REAL TALK,” she shouts Instagram. “It’s special how one interview is picked up everywhere as if everything is completely correct. A large part of what has been written is true, but the media naturally love to make things extra dramatic and to exaggerate quotes.”

As a result, everything is ‘served’ differently than intended, according to Cheyenne. I’m talking about mainstream media and tabloids here. Gossip magazines are eighty times worse, so I wouldn’t believe anything at all, they literally live off gossip and untruths.”
But her statements in De Telegraaf are correct, right? “We had just returned to the Netherlands, jet lag had not yet been overcome, and we had not yet had time to discuss everything properly before we had the interview. Should we have called it quits? Actually, yes, but we also did not want to appear unprofessional… After all, it had already been determined.”
Stronger
They have now discussed some things, according to Cheyenne. “Things were even more uncertain then, but now we are stronger again, even though we are still busy figuring out what works best for both of us. To be clear: from the beginning I have always been clear: my dream is a career abroad.”
This risen soap star thinks he will make it in Hollywood? Cheers. “I lived abroad for a large part of my life before I played for GTST. This does not mean that I do not take my love for him seriously, our love is very serious, but I also take my dreams seriously, and so does Ingmar. Both of us.”
Arrogance
Cheyenne takes herself very seriously. “Some media call that arrogance, but it is not. Nowadays you are not allowed to know what you want, because then you quickly become arrogant. I don’t consider myself better than others at all; I just want to live my dream, that’s all. Everyone should actually do that: after all, you live for yourself.”
“Of course you also try to choose your relationship, without losing yourself. I believe that all of that can coexist, if properly coordinated and that is what we are doing now. We are still together and our relationship is not about to collapse. We have not said that either.”
