The gaming world is buzzing with excitement as pre-orders for “Grand Theft Auto VI” (GTA 6) officially commence. Starting Thursday, players globally can secure their copies of the most awaited video game of the year.

GTA Launches for PS5 and Xbox

From midnight on June 25, 2026, gamers will have the opportunity to grab their copy. The official release is set for November 19, 2026, with GTA 6 launching on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Both a standard version and an “Ultimate Edition” will be available.

Developers Rockstar Games describe the sixth installment as the “largest and most immersive evolution of the series to date.” The “Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition” enhances the experience with an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, and clothing, highlighting all aspects of the story of Jason and Lucia.

As a bonus, all pre-orders made before the release date will receive the “Vintage Vice City Pack,” a collection of items that evokes memories of when neon lights shone their brightest.

Those purchasing a digital version of GTA 6 can download it starting November 12, ensuring they are ready for the game’s launch on November 19. The physical version will also be available from November 12 and will include a download code inside the box to allow players to pre-download the game.

Join Lucia and Jason on Their Adventure

GTA 6 sees a return to Vice City, situated in the fictional state of Leonida. For the first time, players will experience a female lead character, Lucia Caminos. She partners with Jason Duval, a former military member turned drug smuggler.

Expected Price Range of 80 to 90 Euros

Rockstar Games has not disclosed pricing details ahead of the launch. According to renowned gaming expert Geoff Keighley, the standard version is anticipated to be priced at approximately 80 US dollars, while the Ultimate Edition may reach 100 US dollars. Similar Euro prices are expected. A leak from a European retailer initially mentioned prices of 90 and 200 euros, respectively. The actual pricing will be revealed at midnight.
