The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) detonated a fireworks bomb in the Reeshof district in Tilburg. A group of twenty young people wanted to detonate the bomb with fireworks. The bomb consisted of a number of bottles filled with flammable liquid, probably gasoline. They were taped together.
The police in Tilburg were first called by concerned residents on the square on Veenendaalstraat. When the police saw the bomb, the EOD was called in. A number of bottles containing flammable liquid were also found in the trunk of a car. The bottles state that they contain gasoline.
The police will investigate which of the young people is responsible for the bomb and who else has committed criminal offenses. The owner of the car is also being sought. None of the twenty young people have been arrested yet.
