Second division promoted Dynamo Dresden fetches Lennart Grill from 1. FC Union Berlin. The 26-year-old keeper leaves the iron firmly towards the football sub-house after he had been awarded three times. At the SGD, he is seventh access (including Christoph Daferner, who is committed to loan) for the new season.

Grill comes as an ambitious keeper who is not a clear number two, but with Tim Schreiber (23) around the place between the posts – although it should first be ahead after 38 and only 40 goals in the 3. League (second best defense 2024/25). “We are pleased that Lennart has chosen the common path with us. With his quality and experience from the missions in the Bundesliga and the 2nd Bundesliga, he brings everything to strengthen our goalkeeper team and further raise the level,” Dresden’s sports director Thomas Brendel is quoted.

Grill added: “I am really looking forward to the new challenge here in Dresden. The conversations with the responsible goods were open and trusting from the start. Now the anticipation is the entire coaching team and my new team colleagues as well as fans and city very big to get to know.” In recent years, the former U21 international has rarely held the regular place with his clubs. Only at the rental station at SK Brann in Norway in the second half of 2021 was he used continuously with 15 games.

Both at Bayer Leverkusen (five missions) as well as at Union Berlin (eight) and his other borrow from VfL Osnabrück (15), Eintracht Braunschweig (ten) and Greuther Fürth (three) he was either only replacement or lost his status as number one in the course of the season.
