Greuther Fürth brings Swedish goalkeeper

The SpVgg Greuther Fürth wants to solve their difficulties in the goalkeeper position with the commitment of the Swede Andreas Linde. As the bottom of the table from the Bundesliga announced, the 28-year-old Linde signed a contract until the summer of 2024.

“Andreas is the experienced goalkeeper we were looking for. He was already with Sweden’s national team and has also played numerous international matches for Molde,” said Managing Director Rachid Azzouzi.

Marius Funk (26) will be out until the end of the season after a serious knee injury. Sascha Burchert (32) is therefore the only experienced professional goalkeeper available to coach Stefan Leitl. Most recently, the former U21 European champion played for Molde FK in Norway until the end of the year.

The 1.96 meter tall goalkeeper was last runner-up with Molde, and he celebrated the championship title in 2019. Linde played 138 first division games in Norway’s first division and 30 in European competition.
