The American rock band Greta Van Fleet cannot perform at Rock Werchter on Friday evening. The Belgian festival has announced that the group has had to cancel due to a corona infection.
The Americans would Friday evening just before Metallica stand on the main stage. The American punk band Turnstile has now taken over their place, let the festival know via social media. The place they now leave behind on stage The Barn will not be filled by another act.
The cancellation of Greta Van Fleet is the third due to corona. Earlier, Sam Fender and Clairo had to cancel their performances for that reason. Since Friday morning there has also been a lack of clarity about the concert of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, which is scheduled for the Sunday evening of the festival. They canceled their show in Glasgow on Friday due to illness, after which Rock Werchter indicated that they would come with a definitive answer about the show in Belgium on Friday afternoon. That is not yet there Friday at the beginning of the evening.
