Greek track and debutant Brouwer in action at US Open

Tennis players Tallon groenpoor and Gijs Brouwer will try to qualify for the second round at the US Open. Greek track will take on the Argentinian Federico Coria, Brouwer will face the Frenchman Adrian Mannarino.

It will be his second participation in New York for Greek track (26). Last year he made it to the second round, in which he had no chance against the Serbian Novak Djokovic in three sets. Greek track had a disrupted preparation for the US Open. The number 46 in the world skipped two masters tournaments because he had not yet recovered from a corona infection.

The 26-year-old Brouwer, the number 181 in the world, will make his debut at a grand slam tournament. He won three qualifying matches last week. Mannarino also won the Winston-Salem ATP tournament at the same time.

Greek track is the second in action on lane 6, Brouwer plays the third and last match on lane 8. The first matches start at 5:00 PM Dutch time.
